You've read the books. You follow the accounts. You know about co-regulation, nervous system safety, gentle parenting, and connection before correction.
And yet. At 5 PM, when three kids are melting down simultaneously, all of that disappears. You snap. You yell. Then you spiral into shame for the rest of the night.
That's not because the information is wrong. It's because knowing what to do and doing it under pressure are two completely different skills.
"You wouldn't expect a pilot to land a plane just because they read the manual. So why do we expect parents to stay regulated just because they read a parenting book?"
— Dr. April StarKSKnowledge is not the bottleneck.
Capacity under pressure is.
The Coaching Lab exists to close that gap. Not with more content. With live reps — the same way athletes, surgeons, and soldiers build automatic responses. Through practice, coaching, and pressure.
Each week has one 90-minute live coaching call. You bring the real scenarios from your week. We work them live. No lectures. No slides. Just reps.
Install safety systems, map your triggers, collect real meltdown data. Build your family's personalized crisis toolkit and start tracking patterns instead of guessing.
Decode what's really driving the behavior. Then practice — Dr. April plays your most difficult kid scenario. You respond under pressure. Repeat until it's automatic.
Master the 4-step repair script for when you lose it. Then go deep on the partner conversations that make the whole system permanent in your household.
Transfer ownership to your kids. Lock in the system with a weekly maintenance ritual. Build your 12-month plan. Graduate into a self-sustaining home.
90 minutes each, weekly. Dr. April coaches, Lauren provides clinical framing. Cohort-based — you grow with the same group of parents for 8 weeks.
Dr. April plays your kid. You practice your response under pressure. We debrief in real time. This is the single most transformative element of the program.
24 implementation worksheets, scripts, trackers, and tool cards. Every PDF is print-ready and laminate-worthy. Delivered through your course portal.
Small, cycle-breaker-only community. No advice vultures. Just parents doing the same work, holding each other accountable.
Between calls, submit your hardest parenting moments. Get personalized video responses within 48 hours from Dr. April or Lauren.
Your graduation gift. Month-by-month roadmap for year one after the Lab so the system runs permanently without weekly coaching.
Specializes in implementation systems for cycle-breaker parents. Not a therapist — an engineer of family operating systems. Leads the coaching calls, runs role-play scenarios, and holds the container for 8 weeks. Known for being direct, warm, and impossible to BS.
Provides the clinical neuroscience behind why the systems work. Specializes in trauma-informed approaches to family regulation. Provides educational content and clinical framing during coaching calls — not individual therapy.

How is this different from therapy?
This is coaching, not therapy. Therapy helps you understand why you yell. Coaching helps you install systems and practice responses so yelling becomes unnecessary. We don't diagnose. We don't treat mental health conditions. We build automatic regulation capacity through live practice. If you need clinical support, we'll refer you to a licensed therapist.
Do I need to take any other courses before joining?
No prerequisites. The Coaching Lab is designed to work as a standalone program. We teach the foundational tools inside Week 1–2, then spend Weeks 3–8 building the capacity to use them automatically. If you've already done the C.A.L.M. Reset or Blueprint event, you'll have a head start — but it's not required.
What does a typical coaching call look like?
90 minutes on Zoom. Dr. April opens with a 10-minute framework. Then we go to live coaching — parents bring their actual scenarios from the week. Dr. April coaches through each one. We do role-play practice where she plays your kid and you practice your response under pressure. Lauren provides clinical framing throughout. No slides. No lectures. Just work.
What if I miss a call?
All calls are recorded and posted within 24 hours. The live experience is where the role-play and coaching happens, but you won't fall behind. Submit your scenario in advance and Dr. April will address it live whether you're there or not.
Why only 8 weeks?
Because open-ended coaching creates dependence. 8 weeks is long enough to build real automaticity and short enough to force you to practice instead of procrastinate. By Week 8, the goal is that you don't need us anymore — just the 12-month maintenance plan.
How big is the cohort?
Small by design. We cap enrollment to ensure every family gets live coaching time on calls. This is not a mass-market webinar. You'll know the other parents by name by Week 3.
Can my partner join?
Yes. One enrollment covers both partners in the same household. Many of our strongest cohort families attend together. Partner dynamics get addressed directly in Weeks 5–6.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. At checkout you can choose to pay in full ($1,497) or split into 3 monthly payments.
What's the refund policy?
You have 14 days from the first coaching call to request a full refund — no questions asked. After that, no refunds because the cohort has formed around you. That's by design — it keeps the group committed to the work.
8 weeks. Live coaching. Role-play under pressure. A small cohort of parents doing the same work. A 12-month plan to maintain it all without us. That's the whole thing.
